public interface WSHandlerExceptionSerializer

Component for exception serialization. Exception is serialized into XML, which is set into returned exception as message. This serialization is used in web service handlers where it is not possible to return exception as DTO.

serializeException

java.lang.RuntimeException serializeException(java.lang.RuntimeException exception)

Serializes given exception into XML and returns it as message in returned RuntimeException. In case serialization fails, only serialized exception message is set in returned RuntimeException.

Parameters:

exception - Exception to be serialized

Returns:

RuntimeException containing serialized exception as message

deserializeException

java.lang.RuntimeException deserializeException(java.lang.RuntimeException exception)

Deserializes exception which is stored as given RuntimeException message in XML. In case deserialization fails, or given exception does not contain any serialized exception, original exception is returned.

Parameters:

exception - RuntimeException containing serialized exception as message

Returns:

Deserialized exception or given exception if deserialization fails, or given exception does not contain any serialized exception.
